medallion wax part 2










Yesterday I was able to complete the milling of the wax version of the medallion front. It's SMOOTH!! I changed the scale slightly from the file I gave to Michael, but it's still within spec for the rest of the design. We're going to cast this soon.

    WOW, phenomenally smoother than the FDM prints! What cutter(s) did you use for the wax?

    It was a .046875 4FL flat endmill. The step over was 5% of the endmill width though. It took a while but it was worth it.
