prodigy plus

The school of Engineering donated a non-functional Prodigy Plus 3D printer to us. Stratasys always takes the print head and one of the boards when hey do an "upgrade/trade in". We figured the parts would be good for a future CNC machine. But once we picked it up and saw that it seemed to be in good shape, we find ourselves wanting to find a print head and necessary boards. I know these are pricey items, but if anyone out there hears of one, let us know otherwise we may have to gut this thing.

  1. You could always turn it into a reprap. You could build the extruder head, and replace the motherboard with the reprap electronics "sanguinolulu".

Just sayin... I was wondering when you guess would get a 3d printer. : )

  5. well, I haven't done a thing with it. I guess the heads for these things are hard to come by.
