I put a little rubbing compound on the montesa fuel tank to see if I could rub out some of the haze that had accumulated over the years. It polished up pretty well. The fiberglass has some surface cracks on the outside, but nothing too deep. I'm sure that I am going to have to treat the inside even though it's in really great condition. Modern fuel eats away at these old fiberglass tanks, but Caswell sells a liner that is made specifically for fiberglass fuel tanks. I learned this the hard way with my cota 348 when it sprung a million leaks.

I had a King Scorpion. I used a product from POR50 to seal the tank and it worked well. Loved that bike. I still have the manual for it if you need a copy. Parts book, that is to say.
