Last week I was able to get the FJ40 firewall stripped of all hoses, wiring and connections. Then Jill helped me pull the body off the frame. The flat sided body allows me to stand the tub on it's side in the garage and access both sides. I need to weld some small nuts to a couple places where things bolt to the tub, but other than that, I just need to strip paint and clean up the surface rust. I'll undercoat the tub and treat the inside before placing it back on the frame.
