pcb/ vinyl cutter stencil

Bryan just picked up a vinyl cutter. It works slick. You can put a cutter in it or even a pen or sharpie. He's been playing with the pcb boards and was even able to run the board through the vinyl cutter so that the sharpie would draw on the surface of the rigid board, leaving him with a sharpie resist that could be etched in ferric nitrate. The example you see above is done with vinyl though. He cut the vinyl stencil and then applied it to the pcb board. He made a slick little agitator machine for keeping a steady "wave pool" action going in the acid bath and this little board was completed etching in about 40 minutes. He still needs to play with the distance between traces on the boards, but it's getting there and looking really clean. Good stuff......
