My Design for Digital Fabrication students completed their first major project a few weeks ago. They had to create a wearable vinyl necklace. This was an exercise that stressed the students ability to develop a 2D drawing in Rhino from their research, own source material and sketchbook drawings. Emphasis was placed on making the transition from sketchbook to virtual drawing space and attention to output dimensions so that the piece would fit their body accurately.
