Matt Mabee, just made the set of chairs shown above to go with his table. Pretty sweet stuff! Go to his blog if you're looking for a new set of chairs. It looks like Matt has been making some improvements to the UWM Architecture RP Lab. To think this all started with a little Taig tabletop CNC mill in my studio...

Best endorsement of the Taig machines ever! It's amazing how far you have gone and how far you have led others.
Ha, ha, ha, ... I never thought about that being an endorsement, but it makes sense to me.
You know, I remember coming across your site in Fall 1999, as I had purchased a manual Taig mill at a knife show and I was looking for a Taig lathe to match (not to mention information on how to use my mill). I couldn't afford a Taig lathe at the time, so I just remember reading as much as I could about machining (that you shared on your site). It really was the start of all of this open source sharing of information that we've all grown accustomed to. At that time the information was foreign to me, but it felt like it was important to learn to be able to make the things I wanted to. I don't know how much "thanks" you get, but I would like to send a sincere "thank you" to you for posting and hosting your site all those years ago. It has lead to a lifetime of enjoyment of making and teaching other to make as well.
That's really cool Frankie! People like to make fun of the internet as a place with only cats and trolls, but for people like you and me, we've used it to learn and share and hopefully make the world a more interesting place.
I agree!
On thing sis for sure:
Your site has left a lasting impression on me and on many others through the personal growth that it has enabled.
