wrenchin'

I spent the day yesterday wrenching on the FJ40. I'm rebuilding the birfields and installing new wheel bearings. I broke the job up into a couple days as just getting everything cleaned out was a half day job. It has to be one of the messiest jobs ever. Then yesterday, Jill came down and coached me through the reinstall.

I don't know what it is exactly, but sometimes I need a little motivational coaching to get me through these builds. Eric used to serve that roll when we wrenched on things. When you have two people there in the space together, it just makes a lot of difference in getting some progress done and having confidence to move forward. I owe Jill big time for sitting in the shop and moving through the steps with me. I just have a few more things to do and it'll all be buttoned up. It will feel good to have this completed.
