I had a productive day. Well... once I got rollin anyway. I love it when you get into that zone. It always happens half way between hungry and tired and then you just can't stop.
I decided to stick around after the badges and bolts and work on a seat. I had made the seat pan earlier, but I trimmed it so it would have a 1/4" allowance around the edge of the seat section. I smoothed it out.
I was looking around for plastic aquarium tube to line the edge with to prevent the edge of the metal from ripping through the cover, but I couldn't find any long enough in my studio.
Well yes, that is the inner-tube that I busted while switching out the tires. That might make a decent protective edge....
I dug out the carpet padding that I used on the chopper way back when. Cut some layers out.....
And glued it on.....
Used the grinder with a coarse flap wheel to shape it. Where's Eric when I need him ( I say that because he shaped the chopper one for me when I was under the gun).
Now I just need to stitch up a cover.....

Nice work!
Thanks!
Good grief, man! When you said you'd have it ready by Rockerbox, I doubted it. We'll just call that a lesson learned.
It's looking really great!
Ha, ha, ha. Well it just hit me yesterday when Rockerbox is, so I had to kick it into high gear. I still have a ton-o-stuff to do though. I hope I can make it.
