Eric and I were talking about fans the other day and I mentioned this one that I had taken photos of at Kohler. This reminds me of the old leather drive belt on my South Bend. Ian's South Bend used to make a beautiful clicking sound as the metal clip that held the belt together passed over a certain spot on the spindle drive. I used to love the sound of that soothing rhythm.

I saw that fan a few weeks back. Might need to find a way to throw one of those together. As long as it's good old fashioned cloth-covered wire, I'll hang it anyplace...
I'm with you! It would be neat to make some cool shaped fan blades from scratch too.
