medallion

I spent a good portion of today, cutting a wax for one of the parts for the Chancellor's medallion. Bryan modeled a stylized version of our campus in Solidworks (thanks Eric for his help on this) and then I wrote the code to cut it. We're using a 3/32 flat endmill, with a 5 percent step over, to go back over the roughing pass so we can get all of the detail. The sidewalk/paths are even coming out in the design and the mill is doing a great of job cutting this. The pics above just show the start of the finishing pass, so hopefully I can show you some finished pics tomorrow. We're going to cast this as soon as we can.
