Bryan modeled a quick die yesterday and we cut it out of pvc. He pressed the links in the hydraulic press and then mocked up a link with the size of sphere that we'll use for the connecting link. This helped us to make some adjustments in the link and the die so that we're ready for final machining. We're working on the new version of the link and the new die today. Bryan has made a die that has registration built in and we'll be able to press four link plates at a time.

What material did you use for the die blocks? Looks like PVC?
yes, it was pvc.
