I wasn't in cub scouts, but my brother was and I remember helping to build some pretty cool cars back in the day (I'll have to see if my brother can find them so I can get some pics). I've actually been wanting to make some toy cars recently for my personal work and all I needed was for Pete to blog about it to get me started on a design. I made some parts today in between doing a little heavy lifting and finishing the Isabella pizza cutter. I'll be building a belly tank inspired hot rod. I was playing around with some Rhino designs tonight based on some of the parts I made today. Noah is excited about this so we might have to make one for him...
...so I don't have to share.
Check out the pics below for more on belly tankers.

Oh, geez... Pete had mentioned on the mailing list that you'd be building a car, but seeing your pics is sufficient motivation to make me start pondering ideas of my own (and then bug Charles that he needs to get his butt in gear and build one as well). 'As long as it doesn't damage the track' is far too open of an invitation to pass up...
Scorch marks aren't damage, are they?
YES, you both need to make a car! That would be awesome!! Its a chance to be a kid again!!!
Yes, pull Charles into this as well!
