Seems like you and I have a lot in common. Beetles, BMW motorcycles and '62 Chevys. I used to be a skinny kid laying in the gravel working on mine as well. I usually had shoes on, though. Oh, I used to work at a foundry as well.
Keep up the good work with the classes. The combination of art & high-tech manufacturing is really cool. I wish I was closer, I'd take a couple of your classes.
Yeah, I think we have a ton in common. I started reading your blog a while ago and I love your back to basics attitude about things. I always appreciate reading about the things you're working on and doing as it reminds me of the farm I grew up on in IL. I get homesick when I read your posts; but they keep me grounded in the ideals that I was raised with.
So glad to hear about your retirement and the new part time job. I was worried when I had read about your heart-attack back in April. My Dad went through that a few year back and it was scary. I'm so glad you were able to pull through and it seems like you're stronger than ever. Anyway, glad to see your making progress on your projects (wish I could do the same), and thanks for posting!
