artisan lathe

I'm really digging this Artisan lathe. It just looks so functional. I came across these pics when I was looking at old SB's for inspiration. Would be cool to own one of these, but it seems they're kind of rare. More info on these can be found here on the lathes.co.uk site (a great resource for old machine tool info).

If you're ever out East, you should check out the American Precision Museum in Windsor, Vermont. It's in the old Robbins and Lawrence armory building, which is pretty cool in itself, but they've got a nice collection of old machine tools.

Thanks! I'll have to check it out sometime. Can't wait to see the new and improved swingarm!
