kinect scanning

Ah Finally.... I got my Xbox 360 Kinect configured so I can 3D scan with my macbook pro.  I'll have to calibrate it, but at least I figured out what I was doing wrong. I owe Aaron for advising me about what my problems could potentially be. After messing with two different things, I was able to get it to stop crashing and I was able to make a few scans. This should be fun to mess with...

We did a few prints of these long ago... Back when we had the MakerBot CupCake. Here's a terrible example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mmassie/6815466990/ I'd like to try it again soon.

Hey those are still cool. We're hoping to get a scanning station built so we can do large scans in the lab with it. We've been messing with it off and on for a while now and I was just excited to get it to work on my Bootcamp partition on my MacBook. I kept having all kinds of difficulty just trying to get it to start up. Finally got it!

What software did you use? We used kinect2stl on a Mac. (It's written in Processing I believe, but runs as a stand-alone app.)

I'm using reconstructme on the bootcamp partition. I'll have to check out the one you used though.
