We took the kids to the pumpkin patch two weekends ago. They wanted to pick out some pumpkins to put on the porch and get some fresh apples to eat. They weren't too happy with staring into the sun while I snapped a few pics, but the anticipation of carmel covered apples made things better. Jill and I both love the Fall season. It might have something to do with growing up in a farming community and witnessing harvest each year and how the investment of labor was repaid through the reaping of a crop. It could also have to do with young love, high school football games, and the onset of cool weather - it was Fall when we started dating each other in high school 20 years ago (note: we neither one are avid football fans, but it was an excuse to go on a date). Personally I love to see the colors of Fall: leaves, fields, sunsets, and moons; and spending time with my Best Friend (and now three kids). You just can't beat it.
