leo berk prt. 5

On Saturday, Alissa and Leo worked on gluing the last piece and then she worked on filing all of the tabs and seams. Leo worked on sanding the seams and I later came down and helped Alissa file seams. We gathered up all of our tools, moved the piece in the gallery storage area and Leo rushed off to catch his plane. It was a whirlwind of activity: troubleshooting, planning, logistics, cutting, filing, bending, and assembling.

What a great experience to get to work with Leo. I have to admit that I was worried about working with an artist that comes in for a week and makes two pieces while they are here. No worries here though. Leo is a top notch artist and most importantly an outstanding individual. You will not meet a more prepared and and thorough maker. I was impressed with his knowledge and the speed at which he works. You can tell that he has tons of experience and therefore it was a pleasure to work with him. It's not too often that you get to work with someone of this caliber. Thanks Leo!
