Yesterday, I helped one of my former grad students, Matthew Warren Lee, cut fifteen walnut frames on the Tormach. Matthew is a painter that just graduated from our MFA program, and he is making a series of new small paintings that will be placed in these frames. Matthew's work is amazing and his skill as a painter is just incredible. I think he is honestly one of the most disciplined and hard working artists that I know. In my opinion, his professionalism and work ethic is unmatched in terms of most people i see coming through graduate school. He is having a show at Elaine Erickson Gallery this June 14-19 in Milwaukee.
