technological disobediance

Chad sent this video to me and I LOVE it! This pretty much sums up my childhood and my Dad's approach to solving problems. I'm not sure when I encountered this for the first time in my life, but it might have been the first metal toy tractor that had a plastic exhaust pipe that broke and my Dad made an aluminum one that he threaded and then drilled and tapped the tractor body to accept the "fix". I DO know that the washing/drying machine motors were a constant around our house as they were used for belt grinders to grind knives out of old files. What my Dad's objects lacked in aesthetics, they made up for in ingenuity and function. Anyway, what a great video!
