It's interesting that I feel like I have been on this trajectory since working in a factory and thinking about it's connection to Craft, collaborating with Architects to imagine new building facade design and performance through material investigation, developing the Digital Craft Research Lab to investigate the connection between digital processes and Craft, working with eNABLE to connect Craft with local and global communities, and thinking about how Craft is relevant in today's world... and knowing the entire time that tacit knowledge, in-depth understanding of material and process, and the connection to the real world is absolutely paramount in moving the filed of Craft forward.
