greenup library tables

When we were home for Christmas, we visited my sister-in-law at her workplace at the Greenup, IL library. I was was simply enamored with the old heavy library tables there. I did a little poking around and found that each lamp had a hole at the center of the table that had been filled. This was for a lamp that would have come our of the table. I don't have pictures of it, but there were white ceramic insulating tubes that were drilled into the support wood sections at the halfway section if you split the table into two even rectangles. I even found a section of wiring that would have run down one of the table legs to plug into a power source. The legs on these tables were massive. There was even a little kids table that appeared to be made purposefully; rather than a cut down version of the larger tables). I used to have a large library table in my room when I was a kit growing up. I would often use pencils to drum to music when I was doing my homework.  I need to find a table like one of these sometime.
