I wire-brushed the entire frame and probably blew a few pounds of dirt out of the hollow sections of the frame. I did discover a bit of rot, but not as much as most land rover frame. By this point I'm discovering how similar that this thing is to an erector set. I love how everything just bolts on and is meant to be replaced if needed. The bad news here is I discover that the front frame horn on the drivers side is bent. It must have been involved in an accident. As I do more research I find out that the dumb irons on the front of the frame are a common place for misalignment or issues. The more I read though, the more I'm convinced I can fix it. Since I have time off from school, I'm just going to the shop everyday and putting in a full days work. They are long dirty days...
