I received an email a week or two ago about Fabtech happening this week. Shop Teacher Bob recently posted about the Jesse James and Albert Paley collaboration that I I posted about when I first heard about it. Turns out there have been some new videos posted that I hadn't seen. I look forward to seeing the final documentary.

paley and james
I saw some news of this several weeks ago on Instagram and had noticed some activity between these two fellas. I have been so inspired by Albert Paley since seeing hime speak about his work at the U of I before I attended graduate school there. My undergrad metals professor took me to the talk in Champaign because he said that "I needed to see it"; was he ever right. I really appreciated seeing Albert's transition from jeweler to sculptor. Later in the early 2000's I was introduced to panel beating and metalshaping techniques via the Ron Fournier textbooks I was reading and I came across Jesse James and the first Motorcycle Mania. The attitude toward making struck a chord with me and I related to the industrial aspects and the connection to two wheeled machines. Anyway, now these two are collaborating on something together. I look forward to seeing the result.
