I have been posting videos of incremental forming for a while, but in discussions with a student the other day I came across the top video. Looks like something I should try to build or set-up on my milling machine.

incremental forming
I came across a video on incremental forming when I was in graduate school and was blown away by the process of making a hardhat shape from sheet metal. At the time there was very little info on the process. I just came a new video from Ford and then happened across the video directly above. Both videos show a little more info on how this works. Looks very interesting for one-off parts. Might have to give this a try sometime.
