Have you ever wondered how precision tools are made flat and true? It's called scraping... and it's done by hand. I've been mesmerized by this process of blueing and scraping, blueing and scraping, repeat, etc. In looking at a lot of restored machine tools, I've been noticing the scraped surfaces which just look beautiful, not to mention restoring the accuracy of an old tool. I love the fact that it's done by a skilled hand. Interesting topic for sure.
