I decided to powder coat the montesa cota frame while I was at it. Heating of the frame burnt all of the paint off and I was able to sandblast it quite quickly. I went with a flat black frame and swingarm. You can see where the powder has just started to flow and everything is still glossy in the second image. After heating everything a bit longer the flatness started to come through. It looks really nice now.
The brochure shows what the bike will look like. I used to ride this in AHRMA vintage trials events when I was younger. I really used to love riding trials. I think it's harder to ride slow than it is fast, that's for sure.
