Check out the nifty stand Michael made for the FDM 2000. Ever wanted to see the inside of a Stratasys FDM 2000 print head? That extruder tube is a piece that baffles me. There is a consistant hole that runs through the center of it and it has to be perfectly concentric to keep filament from jamming. the bore also has to be smooth. Wonder how they bent the angle? I know... a piece of material inside the hole, bend the piece and then take the mandrel out of the bored hole. Still amazes me. I don't know why it was designed that way and I would love to see how they manufactured it. I hope Michael can fix it though without having to find/make a new one.
