The swingarm was a mess with areas of chunky weld everywhere. At first I thought maybe someone had welded something to the swingarm as an accessory, but as I looked things over I believe this to be places where the various swingarm pieces were fixtured for welding in a jig. Upon completion, it looks like the "craftsman" simply cracked the swingarm out of the jig. I could be wrong in my hypothesis, but it would make since with the level of quality control witnessed thus far. Regardless, I took the swingarm downstairs and ground down the bad areas so I could get it ready for paint.
