down under 4 door FJ

I was contacted via Instagram by a fellow from Australia that started building a four door FJ recently. It turns out that he started his during the pandemic lockdown as well. It has been fun to see how he has gone about the construction of his rig. He started with a Troopy. I'm jealous that those are so available in Australia as this would have made my work a bit easier to do. He also sent me some images of another Instagramer who I already followed that had also built a four door.

My project has been parked on my lift now for a few months as it just got too hot over the summer to suit up in leathers for welding. Then I got busy with online school prep and then this big project for the Smithsonian hit. I've been trying to take care of small motorcycle projects in between just to get all the other machinery running good, so this has left little time for the FJ. I am hoping that I can get back into this soon though as I want to finish out the drivers side, work on the poptop and get the project back underway. These images from by new Australian friend are good motivation though.

Yes, there is something about really flat panels too. I like curves, but exceptionally super straight panels are also cool.
