cnc dies

Alex and I worked on some die prototypes for some metal dies that we will be making soon on the Taig CNC. He's going to use these to press out some forms in aluminum that will get pieced together to make a panel for the Fab/Meth course. I gave Alex a crash course in RhinoCAM one day last weekend and he's now up and running with generating toolpaths on his own. This has made a huge difference in my workload, as now the students can just send me the gcode, the material size, and the end mill specs and we're good to go. The mdf machined fine with no snags, so we're going to do one last mdf version to fine tune the toolpaths and then it's on to the real deal in al. Should be fun.
