grape arbor

I helped Dad build a grape arbor in my parents back yard on Memorial Day. They still need to stain it, but I think it should work out well. I know they'll be glad when the vines mature. We used to have two arbors at my childhood home in addition to a large orchard that had several fruit trees. I used to hate mowing around all of the trees and the arbors, but the orchard is probably one of the things I miss the most since moving to the city; as well as the pond in the back yard.

Anyway, it was good to be able to help Dad out. It always helps to have a few people to make short work of a job.
