jerome glassblower

While we were in Jerome, we looked around some of the shops and happened upon a glass shop. This glass blower was blowing glass pieces unassisted. It was the first time I had ever seen this done and it was really cool to see him working alone. If you look closely in the sixth picture down, he has a hose attached to the end of the blowpipe and he is using this in place of having a partner to assist in blowing the form. I kept wondering what he was going to do when he needed to attach a punty and then all of a sudden he drops the pipe into a holder that he has coming down from the ceiling. He worked incredibly fast and they was a whole shop full of people just watching. It was so cool to come across the Jerome glassblowers shop.
