One of my students, Jon Broadfoot, asked me if we might want a lathe for the DCRL a few weeks ago. I aksed him what kind of lathe it was and he wasn't for sure, but I said, yes, and that we would take it regardless of what it was. When his Dad dropped it off, I was amazed at what it was. It's an old Craftsman 109 lathe. I used to have a Dunlop of the same design, but it wasn't complete and I ended up selling it on ebay if I remember correctly. Anyway, this little gem is complete, and I'm sure we'll put it to work in the DCRL. Always good to have an extra lathe around...
