nicole jacquard

The DCRL hosted Nicole Jacquard as a visiting artist a few weeks ago. Nicole gave a great presentation on the research she is doing on Digital Fabrication techniques at Indiana University. The students really loved the things she showed. Her outreach programs and collaborative projects were very intriguing to me. The next day she did a workshop at the DCRL on ZPrint and ZEdit software and she brought several examples of various additive manufacturing processes. The things she showed us made me want to get the color setup running on our Zcorp printer. I think this will be on the agenda for this summer. Anyway, we had a great time and it was so good to talk to Nicole about some of the trials that she has had in setting up a similar lab to the DCRL at IU. By the way, Nicole was so kind to print all of the samples that the students made in the workshop and send them to us. Thanks so much for your visit, Nicole!
