Last week I worked on creating a few sample boards in the DCRL. I want to put together a small material library that hangs on the walls of the lab that students can refer to when they begin to work on a project. For now, we have anodized and dyed aluminum samples, corian samples, and 3D printed stretchlet samples. We will have a laser cut board with various sample materials along with cork, colored acrylics and various other plastics, and a wood sample board coming soon. I have been working a lot in the lab so I can have it ready for the upcoming semester and the beginning of the new program in Digital Fabrication and Design.
