The front fender had been stripped of it's paint a while ago, so there was a lot of surface rust on it. Someone had also slathered bondo into the rusty areas where the mount and under bracing connect. I knew this brace would need to be removed so that I can properly repair this so I ground down the mount rivets and drilled out some spot welds. I really like this early style fender as it has a nice fully valanced shape to it. I'll put this back to the way it was stock so I can preserve the old look of the front fender.
