Just a few more shots of the area around Valle Crucis and Vilas, NC before we headed back to Milwaukee...
This bridge is at the end of the road from our house. It's made of wood, it's not level, and only one car can cross it at a time. It crosses a beautiful small river that has the clearest water and we see people fishing here all the time.

It's interesting how the sun is blocked and relieved in various parts of the valleys between hills and mountains here. The mountains also cause some interesting and varying weather patterns.
