We happened to catch the VW Funfest when we were back home visiting family in between me teaching at Penland this summer and teaching my summer class at AppState. This is event is usually held at the VW parts distributor in Effingham, but this year a small group of cars made the cruise over to Greenup, IL (where my parents and brother live) and they put on a small car show on main street. We ran into several old school mates and got to walk around and scope out some of the cool rides. Made me miss my singlecab for certain.
