For the rest of the story... when I went to pick up the tub the guy said that he had doors, fender/wings, rear doors, a full hardtop, windshield, etc that he would just throw in. I was kind of stunned, as I didn't realize he had all these parts and that he would just give them to me as a part of the chassis. It probably still seems crazy to think I was buying a Land Rover with no engine and transmission, but I thought I was just buying a super cheap frame and tub... and then I get all these parts with extra's to spare. Yes, the fenders were beat up, but again they're aluminum and I can reshape them. I packed the parts up in my Tacoma and hauled them home. Then I arranged with my neighbor to pick up the chassis and tub for me since he has a car trailer. And just like that I'm the owner of a semi complete Land Rover Series IIA for next to nothing.
