This large 3d print is the bottom section of a spinning top. My student, Michael Erspamer, designed this and started printing it today. He had to leave before it was done so I kept an eye on it for him. This spinning top will hold etching acid that will be flung from it when it is spun. Artist, Richard John Forbes is in town for the print conference and he will be releasing some tops onto a copper etching surface. Should be interesting!

Today I made a lot of decals for the Southern Graphics Conference that is this week in Milwaukee. Come by on Thursday night if you want one of these. Jay Fox and I will be showing off some of Jay's latest experiments from the lab.
