I am super proud of Aaron De Lanty and John McGeen as they graduated from UWM and the Digital Craft Research Lab and helped with this project featured in UWM's annual Research Report. There are several DCRL students working at Betty Brinn this semester as interns. It's great to see our students applying their skills to real world research!
This is the forth year in a row that the DCRL has had ties to work featured in the University Research Report. Bryan Cera was the first with research conducted for the Product Realization course and prototypes made in the DCRL, Mike Erspamer was second with work done in the DCRL in conjunction with Health Sciences, Shea and Adream were featured last year, and now Aaron and John in this years report.
Aaron wrote the following about the project:
"When I worked at BBCM I got to help out with one of the most exciting projects. It was called BeatBuilder in which we taught third graders basic circuitry by using music! It was an amazing time watching the students get really engaged you could see it in their faces that they truly where excited by what they were learning..."
